Connecticut has beautiful beaches and nice resorts by those beaches. It would be a shame not to go visit one of these resorts and beaches at least once. With at least 5 reasons we should go to Water's Edge Resort & Spa (Connecticut), there is no excuse not to go.
Deep sea fishing
Many people like to fish. Probably because this activity is usually done in silence, sometime solitude, and far from civilization. This type of fishing is different than trying to catch a fish or two in a river or a lake, so you might want to first talk to a local fishing company about it.
If you go to a beach resort it doesn’t mean you can’t go hiking. Chatfield Hollow State Park is the perfect place to hike especially if you want to discover some Native American caves. Don’t forget to bring a blanket and some snacks for a picnic.
Maybe the resort doesn’t have its own tennis court, but there are a few tennis clubs near by. The best part is that they’re opened to the public. The Lyme Shore Racquet Club has 6 indoor and 3 outdoor tennis courts, so you can play without being disturbed by the weather.
Host a party
It can be a wedding party or a birthday party, however it will surely be memorable. The shoreline offers a great background for the party pictures and many party ideas. The resort specializes in wedding parties, so be warned. You can even get married in an Indian (NOT Native American) style.
Visit a vineyard
Surely you must be over the age of 21 to visit, but it’s well worth it. The Chamard Vineyards make 3 types of wine: mostly of Chardonnay, and then Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir. If you want to see the place of origin for the Seaport White and Seaport Blush blends you must go to the Stonington Vineyards.
